According to what I have done until now, I can say that I'm good at grammar. I think it’s kind of easy to understand the different set of rules and patterns that are used when writing any kind of paper. Also, I can say that I enjoy doing building up sentences, classifying and discriminating among all the concepts, functions, and positions of words in sentences. Besides that, through learning grammar I have improved my writing and reading. I think this is important if we want to write more accurate and understand what is being said in everything we read.
Furthermore, grammar helps us to improve our thinking since we are distinguishing between parts of speech, thinking about relationships, and identifying functions. So, if we develop the habit of doing this we will get accustomed and later we will do it easily.
Finally, the study of grammar will improve our speaking because when we talk with someone we put into practice our thinking, writing, and reading skills.
Congratulations my dear friend...as you said grammar is really easy for you, I´m definitely in agreement with you. Even though the subject is really hard if you pay attention and study you are in the right way to get a good grade...
ReplyDeleteBut at the same time there are some persons who understand easily and rapidly the grammatical structures and you are one of those.
Grammar will be for sure one of the most important tools in our major, for that reason we have to give our best in class in order to be skill enough to analyze the sentences and all the boring structures jajajaja!!!

Well, what I believe is that grammar is not that easy so Eric you are someone who can analyze things very well, because one of the key elements to understand grammar is our capacity of analysis and I think that is really hard because not everybody is able to comprehend the structures and all the patterns that grammar involves, I also have to mention that grammar is really confusing because in order to do well at grammar we have to have clear many definitions so we can apply them in a correct way, that is why I can not say grammar is easy as you do guys so I congratulate you.
ReplyDeleteIn the other hand, I fully support the part in which you mention that grammar is really important because at the moment that you are teaching something for example, you have to be sure about what you are teaching because a failure of a teacher is multiplied so that is why grammar is essential in our major so we can do better in all senses of our life.

ReplyDeleteIt feels so good seeing you involved exchanging ideas and feelings. Defenitely Grammar is of great importance to make our ideas clear and meaningful. Eric highlighted how Grammar helps us order and analyze a piece of writing. I think we become more analytical in what we write, read, and say. I remember studying English Grammar was pretty useful to understand Spanish Grammar. Before taking the grammar course, I was unable to recognize adverbs,prepositions, adjectives, nouns and all those parts of speech. Believe it or not I even failed a Spanish subject related to Grammar and Composition in Spanish. That was traumatic; however, after taking the Grammar course, I could distinguish among all those aspects of the my native language. I think Grammar develops our thinking deeply.
Good for you buddy. keep going and with no doubt i will ask anything. i like grammar because I learned a little bit in Spanish. so I recommend my friends to focus since the first steps they do in this path

And do not forget that you can ask me whenever you want…it doesn’t matter if the teacher is looking at us because she likes solidarity among classmates jeje!!!
ReplyDeleteWell Mary, I think you feel grammar difficult because you see it like that. I believe that, if you consider grammar something easy and you find the taste and pleasure of practicing it, you can enhance your grammar skills.
As the teacher said, we become more analytical in what we write, read, and say. Also, she mentioned grammar helped her to comprehend our native language. But, I think it’s is strange that at the end of our major we have more knowledge about English Language than Spanish Language.
As William mentioned, we have to focus since the first step of the studying of grammar and keep forward until the end…
Well,Erick even I practice I find it difficult but you mention something really important about the way that we see things so I'll try to focus and pay more attention on every single grammar detail ok if that does not work out I'll probably look for your help, Teacher, you know what i mean.... lol
