My second teaching!

Friday, February 17th. This time I started a little late because my tutor teacher had some problems and she arrived late; so, I had to take some of her teaching time.  When I began my class, the students looked more confident and collaborative with me, and that helped me to feel me more self-assured when developing my class.

Later, while I was carrying out the warm up activity, another teacher came in and interrupted my teaching, provoking that the students got distracted for a while; fortunately, she went out quickly.
After that, I continued with the corresponding topic of this day, that was “Family”.

I have to say I’m glad since I enhanced my performance. Maybe I didn’t do it perfectly but I could feel that this time was a little different from the first time I taught. Students collaborated more, my tutor teacher highlighted some things I did better, and I could see my grade in the feedback sheet of paper; it was superior than my previous grade. I can state that I’m starting to enjoy teaching!

  1. wow!!!!! that´s good that now you feel more confident on yourself, and for sure day by day we are getting more experience on this field, so that we are improving and shaping our teaching style.
I think that you didn´t like when that teacher interrupted your class because in my case, I was interrumpted by a student from the next room while I was doing the warm-up, and neither the students nor I liked it because they were very excited doing the activity, but anyways those are things we can not avoid..
Congrats again.. and keep on working hard...

  4. I can see that every time you become more secure of your teaching skills. It is important for you to be prepared for those little inconvenients that happen when someone interrupts your class.

  5. Great Erick. It is true that when someone suddenly arrives to your class, students tend to loose attention, but through teaching we learn how to deal with those situations.
