FIRST CLASS ADVANCED 1!

Today, I taught my first class of my last teaching practicum. It seems I continue improving my performance when teaching; given that, I carried out an acceptable class despite it was the first one. Initially, I thought I got some trouble because I would be in a classroom full of new students, with different behaviors, different ways of learning, among other factors; nevertheless, they enjoyed my class and had fun when learning.

At the beginning, I opened my class greeting the students and asking them about their eagerness regarding the class I was about to develop. Several students answered doubtfully because they didn’t know what to expect about me. Later, I continued with a guessing game related to some words from a reading they had in their books. All of them enjoyed the game.

Then, followed the class working on the students´ books; but, I faced some difficulties with this because just a few students had the books. So, I asked them to form some groups to keep on working on the books. They worked correctly and completed the book’ exercises. Finally, I ended  the class with an easy game regarding collocations so that they could put into practice  in a funny way what they had recently studied.
