In this class I started with a
game related to gerunds and infinitives to rewiew the previous classes. The game
was “The telephone broken” in which I asked the students to form three lines
facing the board. Next, I told the last students in each line a sentence so
that they whisper each sentence to their classmates, and the first student in
each line had to write the sentences and underline the gerunds or infinitives. At
the end of the game all together checked the sentences to see which group had
more correct sentences.
Later, I continued my teaching with some
exercises from the book in which the learners had to complete some dialogues
related to the correct use of gerunds and infinitives. Then, I asked some
students to read the conversations to check them all together. Finally, I ended
my class with some role plays about different situations, but time was not
enough to present all the performances; that’s why I asked just one couple to
present it and the rest to carry out their role plays in the next class.
ohh wow. I thinks with role plays time is not enough, because we have to give students time to think about what they are going to do and say. Unluckily, you could see all the perfomances, btu good point that you asked them to present them in the next class..
